The Secret to Getting What You Want in Life

Lesson of the Week

I want to let you in on a little secret.

Whether it’s reaching all your monumental goals in life or simply just becoming a better version of yourself each day, there’s one thing that will help you get there.

The secret?

No zero days.

It’s a concept I recently heard in a podcast and it really resonated with me. Here’s what it is:

We all have those days when we just feel like doing absolutely nothing. Those days when we don’t want to get out of bed or work on that one project we know we should.

And if you do absolutely nothing to work toward your goals or get 1% better by the end of the day… that’s what’s considered a zero day.

The point of a no zero day is even when you feel unmotivated or like doing absolutely nothing, you commit to doing at least one small thing that will eventually get you to where you want to go in life.

Maybe it’s not writing an entire blog article. Maybe it’s writing just one sentence.

Maybe it’s not going to the gym. Maybe it’s just going on a short walk around the block to get up and moving around.

No matter what it is or how small the action may seem, the real secret to achieving your goals lies in these no zero days.

Because one year from now, you’ll be amazed at how much these no zero days added up to something incredible.

In fact, it was from him where I first came across the concept of a no zero day.
