Fall is definitely one of my favorite times of the year for so many reasons.
The vibrant colors of falling leaves. The cool and crisp autumn air.
And of course... Halloween. The holiday where we all pretend to be someone other than ourselves for a single night.
But is that really the case? Do we only pretend to be someone else for one day out of the entire year?
I don't know about that one.
Every time I look around me, I see others try to hide their true selves.
I see people spend everyday hiding behind a mask because they're afraid to show who they really are.
And I'm no stranger to this. We're all guilty of hiding behind a mask from time to time.
Because as humans, we want to be liked. We want to fit in. It's just an evolutionary trait of ours.
But here's the thing:
Why would you try to be something you're not when you were made to be nothing but yourself?
You see, we all have unique traits and qualities. We all have special gifts to share with the world.
But everyone always tries to suppress them, often because they're afraid of what others will think.
We try to fit in when we were meant to stand out.
We try to hide our individuality when we were meant to let it shine.
So don't let the opinions of others dictate how you live your life.
Because nothing good ever came out of living a false reality.
No more trying to be someone you're not.
No more suppressing your ideas.
No more hiding from the world.
Take off your mask and show the world who you were meant to be. Who you really are.
Because the only way to live fulfilled is to be true to your authentic self.
Never stop dreaming,
